I look out the window of the trailer at what appears to be a thousand acre cornfield (apparent size, it is corn). So I assume we are in Illinois. The road signs sort of confirm it. we are near Mulberry Grove, population 700. It is hot, 90 degrees, maybe more. Current campfround entertainment, grass cutting.
We found that I-70 east of Indianapolis is a better road than what we experienced in the east. My theory is that it is because Ohio State wollops Indiana in sportsw so they are taking it our on Ohio drivers.
Another uneventful drive aside from changing time zones

Days 3 &4
WIFI wasn't at Lake Paradise (Missouri). So, combining the excitement of two days into one I hope I can find some sort of filler as we wait for the staff of the RV park in Russell, Kansas to return from their errands so we can register and finish getting the trailer installed at the site we chose.
Another hot day but there is wind and the humidity is nowhere near as oppressive. It is 4 pm and have not yet fired up the AC. What is bothersome is that there is a reindeer, yes a reindeer in a fenced area nearby. It is suffering from the heat and I would guess the other aspect of his situation as he wander to and fro like the cats in a bad zoo. There is a water spray and feed and such but he does not look comfortable. I can see that now he is laying down, the first time in the three hours we have been here.
Tomorrow we will be in Seibert, Colorado. It is a little town on the eastern plains near where Denise's father lived as a boy. The area was part of the 1930s "dustbowl."

First day. S&H Campground (not green stamps for those old enough to remember), Greenfield, Indiana, is a pleasant well-wooded place. It seems to be mostly seasonal camping families. The wifi is entirely inadequate so I will not post any photos. Also I have not taken any photos which adds another weaselly excuse.
Interstate 70 in eastern Indiana is bad. It needs to be resurfaced at least if not rebuilt. It may be in the works as there was some bridgework and some small projects.
Uneventful travel today aside from the morons who cannot understand the purpose of an acceleration lane to a 70 MPH Interstate. On to Illinois tomorrow the land of my birth. I trust there are no outstanding warrants.
